Portrait : Benjamine

Time to have a little chat with Benjamine who works at Sessùn head office. I must admit I didn’t know her very well before interviewing her.

Every time I went to the office I was always too shy to go and talk to her and vice versa. However, when we did this photo shoot together I discovered a lovely person with a gorgeous smile! A big thanks to Benjamine for her patience. I really hope she likes the photos

Job at Sessùn ?

I manage our knitwear and accessories production. I put together the technical specs and oversee manufacturing (the technical aspects, the smooth running, budgets, transport etc.). There are lots of different stages in the production process. My job is very varied so I never get bored!

How did you discover Sessùn ?

I worked with Sessùn at the very beginning. I was working as a pattern maker for a fashion consulting agency and Emma got in touch with me to work on one of her designs. We then went our separate ways but I continued to take an interest in her work. Then, one day I met Emma again and told her that I would be interested in working with here again and she replied, Well, that’s great because we’re looking for someone. I was thrilled. That was four years ago.

What are your favourite pieces in the current collection ?

The PLEX dress, the DIANA dress and all the shoes!

What is your favourite place to hang out ?

On a sailing yacht …on the open sea.

What’s on your current Ipod playlist ?

The country you would love to visit ?

They’re so many.. I’ll say Cuba, for the bright colours!

Where do you see yourself in 10 years time ?

Either an American movie star or a humanitarian organisation in Africa. As you can tell, I’’ve no idea. I just want life to be good as it right now!
