A quick chat with Laetitia who runs the Toulouse boutique in the south of France.
What do you do at Sessùn?
I manage the beautiful new Sessùn boutique in Toulouse.
How did you first come across Sessùn?
About 15 years ago. I bought my first Sessùn piece at a sale selling brands like Volcom, Lady Soul and North Face. It was more of a street wear sale, which was a style that Sessùn also represented back then.
Later, I found myself working in a shop on the same street as the Sessùn boutique in Marseilles. They were looking for someone to help out in the boutique. So that’s when I stepped in. That was back in 2010.
What’s your favourite piece in the current collection?
That’s a really hard question to answer! There are two pieces that I particularly love: the Kuti jacket in Ourika and the Mosaic Canyon jacket in kaki. But I’d like to be able add more pieces to my list!!!!
Where are your favourite places to go out?
When I was living in Marseilles, I loved the vibe in the area I lived in called Endoume / St Victor, and it’s little bars.
Now that I’m living in Toulouse, as each day passes, I’m getting to know the city a bit better. I like the Quais de la Daurade and the Place St Pierre, which overlooks the Garonne river.
What’s your favourite record right now?
These are the tracks I’m listening to at the moment:
- Habibi Sweetest Talk
- Maggie Rogers Alaska
- Rhye 3 Days
- Petit Biscuit Sunset Lover
Which country would you like to visit?
All of them! But I’d especially like to go the Lebanon, back to my roots, to learn a bit more about my mother’s culture.
Where do you see yourself in 10 years time?
10 years is a long way away! Last year, I would never have imagined that I’d be living in Toulouse now! All I’d like is to be happy wherever I am!
