Sabina Socol

Sabina Socol

We spend an afternoon with Sabina Socol, lovely parisian, chatting and walking around in the heart of 11th arrondissement, in the neighbourhood of the rue de Charonne store.

What do you do for a living?

I’m the Social Editor at L’Officiel.

What does Sessùn evoke in your mind?

The south of France, summer. As well as a brand for contemporary women in step with their time who love to travel. In fact, I think that, more that anything else, Sessùn inspires me to want to escape.

If you were to sum up the essence of Sessùn in one word, what would it be?

Casual elegance (well, actually that’s two words!)

Your favourite Sessùn piece (clothes or accessories)?

The Ile de Re style blue and white shirts and the sandals in navy blue velvet. As it happens, I love being able to mix timeless pieces with really funky pieces!

What’s your average day like?

Even though I spend a lot of time at the office, what I like about my job is that there’s no such thing as an average day. I tend to meet interesting new people all the time and that’s what I enjoy.

What’s the first thing you do when you wake up in the morning?

Look at Instagram.

And the last thing you do before you going to bed at night?

Look at Instagram.

Which song sums you up the best?

“Tu Veux ou Tu Veux Pas?” ( Do you want or not ?)

An item of clothing that suits you best?

High-waisted jeans.

3 things you always carry in your bag?

Lipstick, iPhone, and cigarettes.

Your best trip: where, when, why?

A road trip to California with a girlfriend a few years back. It may sound clichéd, but I really did discover the true meaning of the word freedom, and it was this trip that made me want to travel to as many places as possible.

Who is your fashion icon, famous or not?

I don’t really have one that springs to mind. I get a lot of my inspiration from Instagram and just out on the street. I'm drawn to the vintage look of the 60's (Bardot, Hardy ...), even if that's super clichéd.

Your fixation, or idiosyncracy?

I make my friends choose a holiday song. At first, it annoys the hell out of them, but it works every time: afterwards, they want to listen to it all year round to remember the good times we spent together (which is the point!).

Sabina is wearing : (look 1) Delima shirt / Auréline pants / Ceret espadrilles - (look 2) Albertina top / Balade pants / Chaussures Rumba - (look 3) Dolores dress - (look 4) Foraker sweater / Almo pants & Rumba shoes.
